I’m currently paused from monetization without any valid explanation, just like many other users these past few months. No clear warning, no real reason given, just a sudden pause while I follow the rules and stay active every day.
I’ve been on X since March 2015, and honestly for a while now I’ve felt completely lost on this platform.
Today, X wants to be as transparent as possible with the new updates and open source approach, yet not all users are being treated the same way.
A lot of people are getting paused without understanding why, without precise information, and without real communication behind it.
Even appeals take an extremely long time and in many cases they lead nowhere.
The biggest issue is the complete lack of clarity.
You don’t know why your account was paused.
You don’t know if it was automatic or manual.
You don’t know how long it will last.
And you don’t even know what to fix because nothing is clearly explained.
Sometimes you make genuinely good tweets, useful posts, content you actually spent time working on… and it barely reaches anyone.
Meanwhile a simple “lol” tweet can get millions of views.
At some point, you genuinely stop understanding how the platform really works anymore. And I know I’m far from the only person feeling this way here.
For a platform that talks so much about transparency, there should at least be a clear system showing:
the exact reason for the pause,
the content involved if necessary,
the estimated duration,
and the real status of the ongoing appeal.
Because right now, a lot of users simply feel punished without any real reason.
